WILL YOU ANSWER THE CALL?

I Have Gone

I have literally knocked on the door of every neighbor on my street. I have written out invitations for a ladies brunch at my home and invited all of my neighbors. I have done this several times but only one lady showed up. This lady is a Christian and we had a very nice visit. My hope was that I could build a friendship with many of my neighbors and then invite them to church where they could hear the gospel preached.

Passing Out Gospel Tracts

If you know me at all, you know I love to share the gospel with others. I have prayed and asked God to help me to be like Montiel, an old lady who shared the gospel with anyone and everyone she met. I am not as bold as she was. Rather than taking the bold approach I pass out gospel tracts. I give them to cashiers at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, the grocery store, the restaurants (regular and and fast food) and I am considering knocking on the door of my neighbors once again to give them each a tract.

So Cheap Yet So Valuable

For $12.00 I just purchased 100 Halloween tracts. I wish I had trick or treaters come to our door- I would put a tract in each bag. There are a big bunch of pumpkins on a card and you have to find which pumpkin is different. On the back is the gospel. It was $6.00 for 100 plus $6.00 shipping. You can buy 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100. There are many different styles of tracts to choose from; you don’t need to buy Halloween tracts. The company I order from is called Moments With The Book. One tract could mean the difference between your friend, family member, cashier, waitress, neighbor or coworker going to hell or going to heaven.

Jesus is Calling

The Lord is saying to you right now, right here today, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Will you answer God’s call and pass out gospel tracts to your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, waitresses, and cashiers? Let’s each one win one for Jesus.

Dear Father,

Please help us to have a burden for lost souls. Help us to remember people today need Jesus. You call us, each one of us, to be the light of the work. Please give us courage and boldness to share our faith with those around us. And Holy Spirit, if there is a reader reading this who has never repented of their sin and trusted in Jesus Christ, may they do so today. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
